The Rough Terrain Crane as the name suggests is just as capable on level flat ground as it is on uneven or undulating job sites.
It has four wheel drive, four wheel steer & rear wheel steer, so accessing tight job sites is made less difficult, so we do need a little extra room to set the Roughy up. An area of about 6x6 metres is needed to establish a secure platform to perform the required lifts.
The Roughy has 26.7 meters of main boom and a manual extension of a further 7.0 meters giving a total boom length of 36.0 meters. At a 12.0 meter radius the Roughy will lift 4.2 metric tonnes, with the boom fully extended to 36 meters and a boom angle of 55º it will lift 1.75 metric tonne all at a 360º radius of the crane.
The manual extension or (fly jib) has the ability to be off set to the main boom at 5º, 17º & 30º allowing the Roughy to set up close to structures and still be capable of reaching a respectable distance across the job site.
